How Do I Install the Plugin on a Password-Protected Website?

Navigate to Add Site
Click on the "Add Site" link in the top-right area of the Manage Sites page to begin adding a new website to your BlogVault account
Note: This is the starting point for adding a new WordPress site to your backup and security configuration

Enter Website URL
Click in the "Website URL" input field in the center of the page and enter your WordPress website address. Once done, click on the Continue button
Note: Use the full URL of your WordPress site, including http:// or https:// (e.g., http://www.yoursite.com)

Configure Protection Settings
Click the Customize Protection button in the center of the page to set up the HTTP credentials of the website
Note: This allows you to specify the HTTP credentials to access the site

Set HTTP Authentication
Enter the Username and the password in the HTTP Authentication tab in the center of the page and click on the Save Changes button
Note: Only needed if your WordPress site is protected with HTTP authentication. Leave empty if not required.

Plugin setup
Auto-installation method
Enter the WP-Admin credentials in the Proactive Security section in the middle of the page to set up our plugin automatically on the website.


Note: These credentials allow BlogVault to securely install our plugin on the website automatically.


Manual method
Click the Download button under the Manual Installation option in the center of the page to download the BlogVault plugin and install it manually on your website. Use this option only if you prefer manual installation or if the automatic installation does not complete successfully.
Note: Manual installation gives you more control over the plugin installation process on your WordPress site

Test Plugin Connection
Click the Test Connection button in the center of the page to verify that the BlogVault plugin is properly installed and communicating
Note: This confirms the plugin is active and ready to sync your site data with BlogVault

Review Setup Completion
The Onboarding page now shows three completed sections: Site URL added, Manual Installation selected, and Connection Test passed with green checkmarks. Click on the Initiate Sync button to start a new sync.
Note: Verify all three sections show completion status before proceeding to sync your site data
