Fixed Billing Cycle FAQs

Applies only to WP Remote & Agency plans

To make billing simpler and more predictable for you, we’ve introduced a Fixed billing cycle system. This means that from the moment you purchase your subscription or plan, your billing date is set and will remain the same for every renewal thereafter.

With this approach, even if you add or remove plans or licenses during the billing period, you’ll only be charged for the time remaining until your next billing date, not the full month or year again. This gives you clear visibility of when to expect payments and ensures you are fairly charged for the exact time you use our services.

By locking your billing cycle in place, we hope to make budgeting easier and avoid surprises in your payments. Your fixed billing date is your renewal anniversary, and all charges will align with this schedule.

-What exactly is changing with my billing?

We are updating how billing cycles work to make things easier and fairer for you. Now, once you buy a license, your billing date is fixed in and will stay the same for every renewal, whether monthly or yearly.

If you add or remove licenses during your subscription period, we'll only charge you for the time left until your next renewal date, instead of charging for a full month or year again. This means your billing dates will be more predictable, and you will only pay for what you use, when you use it.

-Will my current billing date change because of these updates?

No, your original billing date is locked and will stay the same. If you started your subscription on the 1st of January, your renewal will always be on the 1st of January every year.

Similarly, monthly subscriptions will renew on the same day each month. This helps avoid confusion and makes it easy to keep track of billing

-Can I pick a different billing date if I want to?

Currently, you cannot choose a different billing date because your cycle is fixed to the day you first subscribed. This is to keep your billing consistent and simplify how charges are applied.

We’re planning on adding a way to make billing more flexible, but for now, locking your cycle gives you a clear, stable schedule.

-How does prorated billing work if I add a plan after my billing date?

If you add a new plan during your active billing period, you only pay for the time left until your next billing date, not the whole month or year.

For example, if your renewal is on January 1st and you add a new plan on February 1st, you’ll be charged for February through December only. This way, you’re only charged for what you use.

-What happens if I want to downgrade my plan?

Downgrades will take effect immediately after you make the change.

However, you will get credit for the unused time if you downgrade . We want to make sure you are billed fairly while keeping things easy to manage.

-Will I be able to see my billing information and charges clearly?

Yes, in your account dashboard, you will find your billing cycle clearly displayed along with details of your charges.
If you add or remove plans mid-cycle, you will see exactly how prorated charges are calculated.

-What if I switch from a monthly to an annual plan, or vice versa?

When you switch, your billing cycle will reset based on the date you make the change. For example, if you switch on March 10th to an annual plan, your renewal will be locked for March 10th the following year. We will calculate any charges using prorated billing until your new billing date.

-Do these changes affect how I pay or when payments get processed?

Your payment methods stay the same, and payments will continue to process on your locked billing date. Automatic payments will happen on your renewal day without changes. You won’t have to worry about unexpected billing dates or changes to how you pay.

-Will I get clear reminders and notifications about upcoming bills?

Yes, we will send reminders well before your billing or renewal date. These reminders will include details about what you will be charged and why. We want to make sure you’re never surprised by a payment and understand exactly what you’re paying for.
