In the event you need to restore a backup from a while ago, you can do so while keeping your latest content.
For example, if a plugin or theme update causes your site to break, you can restore an older backup to reverse the issue. However, your site may have additional content in the meantime, like new posts or pages, edits, images, other media files, and so on. You want to restore a backup without losing all these additions.
Our new "selective restore" feature pulls the content from the latest backup, so you can restore any backup version seamlessly.
Restore an old backup with preserving your site content
After selecting which backup you want to restore, select the ”Retain Latest Posts, Attachments, Pages” option from the Advanced Options menu. The rest of the process remains exactly the same.
