1. Please log in to the dashboard, select the plugins that are available for updates, and click on "Update."

Alternatively, you can select the sites and click 'Manage Plugins' to proceed further with the update process.

2. After clicking "Update," you will be redirected to a page that shows the number of sites where these plugin updates are available. If the updates are available for 2 sites, it will show 2 sites; if more, it will display according to the number of sites with available updates. This process is known as a bulk update.

Additionally, our newly updated feature allows users to choose from three options while managing their sites individually:

  • Quick updates

  • Safe updates

  • Sandbox updates

These options will be prefilled based on the site's license, and users can toggle them based on their requirements. For more details, please refer to this article: Safe Managed Bulk Updates.

Sandbox Updates work as follows: We first run the update on a staging site, then perform a visual regression test to check for any errors. After the tests are completed, you'll receive a report to review, and you can decide whether or not to proceed with the update on the live site.

Once you click 'Update,' it will fetch the latest version of the plugin details and display a screenshot of the site before and after the update. This process helps identify any mismatches or issues that may arise from the plugin update and is known as visual regression testing.

For sandbox updates, once the tests are completed, it is recommended to update the plugin safely if you receive a message indicating a 'perfect match' by clicking upgrade approved sites.
